Idaho chinook salmon
Clearwater River Spring Chinook Salmon 2008..

The 2008 upriver spring salmon migration is being predicted to be in the top three runs that we have seen since 1980. Many may of these fish will be headed into Idaho waters.

It is projected that as many as 269,300 Chinook will enter the Columbia River this spring, and if predictions hold up we should see a fun and productive salmon fishing season on the Clearwater River.

Idaho Fish and Game will continue gathering information on fish numbers and will set seasons and limits this spring.

The Clearwater River salmon fishery is extremely popular with inland anglers and we will be posting information as it becomes available.

Salmon traveling into the Clearwater River generally have a 2 to 3 week period of prime fishing.
Our guide service books these days and when numbers decline to below a threshold that we feel the angler success will be poor then we cease booking.
