2009 SPRING CHINOOK SALMON | Clearwater River Salmon Fishing
Fishing spring salmon on Idaho's rivers.
The projected run of spring salmon over Bonneville Dam this year is predicted to be the second or third largest run in the last 30 years. If the prediction comes true it will mean a liberal season for springers in Idaho. We will be providing more information as it becomes available.
With a run of this size we feel that the potential to book sucessful trips is excellent.
The Clearwater River salmon fishery is extremely popular with inland anglers and we will be posting information as it becomes available.
We have chosen a block of days in May which fits into the historic peak Salmon activity for the Clearwater River. Call for more information and available dates.
Salmon traveling into the Clearwater River generally provides a 2 to 3 week period of prime fishing.
Upriver fishing is usually good later in the season.
Information will be posted as seasons are set for the Spring 2009 season.
This is an extremely popular fishery that draws local anglers and salmon lovers from as far away southern Idaho, Utah and Montana.
As information becomes available we will be following the upriver travel rates and make a determination on the prime period for Salmon entering the Clearwater River.
Our policy is to book only the time frame when we feel the client has the best chance for success.
This policy does limit our booking days but we feel it is more important to provide a quality trip for our guests.
There are always unknowns in salmon fishing and some days will be more active than others but we have done our best to give the angler the best chance of catching these Idaho salmon.
