Fishing Guides for the Snake River - lower Hells Canyon region
Snake River fishing has everything from the magnificent White Sturgeon to the incredible, fighting, Smallmouth Bass and the famous, sea run Steelhead Trout. This unique and scenic river canyon provides great fishing and recreational opportunities for the entire family. Clean, clear water, white sand beaches and abundent wildlife all add to a unique and wonderful day on the river in Hells Canyon.
Smallmouth Bass fishing on the Snake River is another popular spring past time. These scrappy fish have a huge local following and more people are discovering this great species. Large numbers of bass are the usual catch in the beautiful and rugged Hells Canyon area.
The Snake River provides a year-round fishing opportunity for a wide variety of species from its confluence with the Columbia River in Central Washington to the Oregon border in Hells Canyon.
Sturgeon, Smallmouth Bass, Catfish and Trout fishing begins in early spring and will continue into the fall months.
May begin as early as August and normally holds up well as late as January and February.
